DOWELL SALES TERMS/WARRANTY

  • Proof of purchase (original Dowell Sales Receipt/Invoice) must be provided to Dowell with any warranty claim.
  • All Dowell products include a 1-year limited warranty against defects unless otherwise specified.
  • Warranties do not cover installation or any other labor charges associated with repair, removal, reinstallation, or consequential damages.
  • Damages resulting from moving or installation are not considered defects and are not covered under these warranties.
  • Warranties do not cover product failure caused by abuse, misuse, unauthorized modifications, neglect, damage due to handling,  faulty installation or external factors such as shipment delays or project interruptions.
  • The Dowell disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Warranties apply only to original purchaser and to original product installation, and are void if product is moved from its initial place of installation.
  • Dowell must be notified in writing upon discovery of any defect in product, including a detailed description of alleged defect.
  • Defective products or parts will be replaced on a rush basis.
  • Warranties do not apply to local building code compliance. Buyer should check related plumbing codes before installation.
  • Raw materials used in manufacturing of Dowell products may naturally vary in appearance. Grain character, color differences, and natural imperfections in wood occur naturally and cannot be considered defects.
  • Wood Characteristics, Aging and Printing Limitations: Because of the varying natural characteristics of wood and the effects of aging, product shown in displays and/or printed materials will not be an exact match to new cabinetry you will receive. Depending on the wood characteristics, the age of a sample and the environment of the showroom, samples will show some degree of variation from new product. In addition, you should not expect all doors, drawer fronts, trim or molding to match exactly in either finish or grain. Variation in wood is normal and unavoidable. In addition, it is not possible to exactly match our colors in printed materials.
  • Lumber and veneer products may sustain color changes and/or surface damage when exposed to extreme temperature changes or prolonged direct sunlight. These, as well as natural color changes and variations are not covered under warranty.
  • Due to its nature, wood ages and changes in color over time from exposure to light and oxygen, these natural changes are not covered under warranty.
  • Although Dowell does its best to match color on warranty replacement doors or drawers, no guarantee of an exact color match is made.
  • All information must be filled out accurately. Submissions with incomplete details may not be processed.
  • Our team may contact the customer via phone or email to gather additional information or details to complete the claim.

If you believe that you have a warranty claim, email us at order@dowellusa.com or call us at 516-667-0088. Please be sure to provide all relevant information regarding your claim, including a complete description of the problem, the product name/model number and your original invoice.

During the warranty period, Dowell will repair or replace any part or product that proves to have substantial defects in materials or workmanship, or Dowell will provide an equivalent replacement product. In keeping with our policy of continuous product improvement, Dowell reserves the right to change specifications in design and materials without notice and with no obligation to retrofit products we previously manufactured.
